Meet The Hoboken Team

  • Blue Skies Pottery instructor, Anthea Brown, sitting at the pottery wheel looking towards the camera.

    Anthea Brown

    Instructor

Anthea (aka ASBfromJerz) is a potter, painter, and poet based at the Jersey Shore. She started playing in clay at the age of 15, and is a Cum Laude graduate of Monmouth University with a BA in Art, having recently earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College. If she's not on the wheel, you can find her on stages in NYC and NJ performing her poetry. When people talk about ‘go with the flow’ they’re talking about Anthea. She is the flow. Or the go. IYKYK.

  • Blue Skies Pottery instructor, Radwa Elalfy, posing with her handmade pottery looking at the camera.

    Radwa Elalfy

    Instructor

Radwa was our first and only handbuilding instructor for over 3 years, joining the studio as our first ever employee in late Summer of 2022. She moved to Texas in the Fall of 2025, and while she’s no longer working at the studio, she’s forever part of the BSP family, and will remain on this page until she makes a piece that isn’t the most stunning thing you’ve ever seen (never).

  • Blue Skies Pottery instructor, Myagmarsuren Enkhbayar, posing in front of a painting.

    Myagmarsuren Enkhbayar

    Instructor

Myagmarsuren is a Blue Skies DAY ONE. She was the first instructor to join our team and continues teaching several of our courses including our Intermediate/ Advanced classes. One time she showed up to an open studio and very quickly realized why doctors don’t give patients their personal phone numbers. She has been practicing ceramics since she was a kid and currently teaches at several studios from Brooklyn to Hoboken.

  • A young woman with short wavy dark hair taking a mirror selfie in a bathroom. She has tattoos: a large bee on her shoulder and a small figure on her upper arm. She's wearing a striped shirt with short sleeves and a black apron with paint stains.

    Mariana Flor

    Studio Technician & Instructor

Mariana has been working at Blue Skies since November of 2023, but it’s hard to remember a time before she joined us. She’s a part of the BSP DNA, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have her warmth in the family. What started off as a love for sculpting with air dry clay and creating claymations, flourished into much more. She now teaches kids classes and adult one time classes, passionately helping out others to grow in their ceramics journey as well.

  • A woman with curly pink and red hair, glasses, and multiple bracelets displaying peace signs with her hands, standing behind a table filled with various handmade ceramic bowls and vases, some filled with red and dark liquids, with a plain white wall in the background.

    Nicole Gonzalez

    Studio Technician

Nicole has been practicing pottery for 3 years, primarily handbuilding small clowns, while also throwing as well.

She joined us at the beginning of 2025, and her hard work around the studio helps keeps everything organized while her kindness helps make everyone feel welcomed.

  • Blue Skies Pottery instructor, Tim Hsieh, smiling at the camera.

    Tim Hsieh

    Instructor

The first thing you should know about Tim is that he’s really cool. Tim has been practicing pottery for 18 years and only recently started teaching this past year with us at Blue Skies. He started ceramics to fill class requirements to graduate on time and fell in love with the meditative nature of wheel throwing and being able to manipulate nature. Conversations with Tim may cover epic Lego builds, custom glaze mixing or fun EDM shows. Like I said, he’s really cool.

  • Blue Skies Pottery instructor, Judy Park, smiling while looking down at her pottery.

    Judy Park

    Instructor

Born in Seoul and raised in Atlanta, GA, Judy started ceramics over 15 years ago in high school when looking to find a creative outlet. She joined us at Blue Skies in October as a studio tech and now teaches several of our multi-week courses and intro classes. Between her one-of-a-kind mushroom pieces and reverse time clocks (TIME IS A CONSTRUCT ANYWAY), you don’t even need to read the signature to know a Judy piece. Beyond her classes, Judy also offers workshops such as plaster mold making.

    Jessica Stolfa

    Manager & Instructor

Jessica is a ceramicist and textile artist hailing from New York City. Born and raised in Queens, she has been working with clay for over 10 years and received her BFA with a concentration in ceramics from Queens College. She started out throwing functional ware but has since shifted her focus to building large sculptural work utilizing the wheel.

Jess first joined us at BSP in 2023, and is solely responsible for some of us using the term ‘blorb’. If you could package her laugh it would solve 99% of society’s problems.

  • A young woman with curly dark hair smiling, wearing a sleeveless olive green top and a gold necklace, against a light-colored wall background.

    Maedeh Tafvizi

    Manager & Instructor

Maedeh is a ceramic artist and educator with a BA in Islamic Art and an MFA in Ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, with features in Surface Design Journal, Textile Talks, the Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival (2026), and the Tallinn Design Festival (2025). Maedeh’s practice has also been recognized through awards and competitive selections, including the ArtsThread Global and the European Product Design Award.

Maedeh first joined us in April of 2025, and we don’t know what we’d do without her.

  • Blue Skies Pottery employee Brooke Thibodeau smiling in front of the studio's mural.

    Brooke Thibodeau

    Studio Operations

Brooke was born and raised in North Carolina, and joined us in Hoboken in the Spring of 2022. She was an outstanding Studio Tech and Instructor for almost 2 years before moving back to North Carolina to be closer to family, but we knew that couldn’t end her time with us at BSP. Brooke is currently our only remote Admin; and helps facilitate scheduling, social media outreach, and many other logistics across all three studio locations.

  • A young woman with blond curly hair wearing a white knit hat, a beige fleece jacket, and a plaid scarf, smiling and holding two decorated ceramic pots in a colorful craft store.

    Keileigh Ziino

    Studio Technician & Instructor

Keileigh has been obsessed with clay since she first fell in love with it in high school. She studied Fine Art at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and later apprenticed with Cape Cod potter Kimberly Sheerin. Also a fashion illustrator, she brings a whimsical, expressive style to her ceramic work and loves encouraging students to connect with their own artistic voice.
